About

This is a collection of personal writings that reflect the breadth of my interests—some spiritual, some technical, and many somewhere in between. I write to think. To sharpen ideas, organize chaos, and wrestle with questions that don’t always have clean answers.

Some of what you’ll find here reads like a research journal. Some of it is commentary, some personal reflection. Topics range from Christian apologetics and cultural drift to concealed carry, preparedness, leadership, and the occasional build project or line of code.

If you’ve found your way here, I hope something sparks your curiosity—or even challenges your assumptions. I don’t write to provoke, but I don’t write to placate either. My goal is honest conversation, not conformity.

So, what’s with the name?

RogueCivilian is a reflection of where I stand. I’m not wearing a uniform anymore—not a soldier, not a pastor, not a pundit. Just an ordinary guy, trying to live with conviction in a world that often rewards compromise.

The “rogue” part? That’s not about rebellion for its own sake. It’s about stepping off the well-worn path when the path starts heading somewhere it shouldn’t. It’s about being willing to question, to stand, and to speak—even when it’s not popular.

About Me

I’m Gary, the voice behind Rogue Civilian. I write for the thinkers, the tinkerers, and the quietly defiant—those carving their own path through modern life without losing their sanity, soul, or sense of humor. This site is my notebook, compass, and soapbox.
